Revolutionizing Future Learning: The DPS Indirapuram Robotics & AI Lab
Project Overview
Partnership: EdNex × Delhi Public School, Indirapuram
Grades Covered: 6 to 12 (12 sections × 40 students per grade)
Objective: EdNex × Build a future-ready Robotics & AI Lab
Implementation Timeline: 6 months
EdNex Delivered:
- State-of-the-art lab infrastructure
- Futuristic learning tools and equipment
- Custom-designed curriculum
- Qualified and trained faculty
The Challenge
The client, Delhi Public School, Indirapuram, needed a single partner to provide a complete solution for a new Robotics & AI lab. This included the lab’s infrastructure, advanced educational tools, a customized curriculum, and qualified, trained faculty. The goal was to establish a future-ready lab for students in grades 6 through 12.
EdNex's Solution: A 5-Step Implementation Plan
Step 1: Building the Infrastructure
We transformed a blank space into a fully functional Robotics & AI Lab by:
- Designing layouts for safety, storage, and workflow efficiency.
- Installing ergonomic tables, tool stations, and work areas.
- Bringing concept sketches to life with a vibrant, student-friendly lab environment.
Step 2: Selecting the Right Tools
variety of educational and industrial-grade equipment was selected to support learners from beginners to advanced innovators. This included:
- Robotics: Humanoids, quadrupeds, and drones.
- Design & Prototyping: 3D printers and laser cutters.
- Electronics & Coding: Microcontrollers, AI kits, and IoT hardware.
The tools were chosen based on their compatibility with multiple programming languages, adaptability to future tech trends, and ability to make the lab a standout in innovation and competitions
Step 3: Curriculum Assessment
EdNex reviewed the school’s existing CBSE Computer Science and AI curriculum. The team identified areas to expand upon, incorporating robotics, AI, IoT, and real-world applications. The objective was to go beyond basic requirements and equip students with future-ready skills
Step 4: Curriculum Development
For Grades 6 to 12, we designed 15 lessons per year focusing on progressive skill development.
- Lower Grades: Core foundations in robotics, coding, and electronics.
- Higher Grades: Advanced, multi-technology projects.
The curriculum blended theory with hands-on challenges, aligned to CBSE while also integrating industry-standard tools and forward-looking skills.
Step 5: Faculty Training
Teacher empowerment was central to success. Ednex conducted intensive training programs covering:
- Pedagogy for advanced technology education.
- Lab safety, troubleshooting, and system mastery.
- Mock sessions and continuous mentoring to ensure confidence in guiding complex projects.
By the end, teachers evolved into mentors capable of inspiring and leading student innovation.
Results: Deployment
After six months of collaboration, the Robotics & AI Lab launched with overwhelming excitement. The phased rollout began with select grades and quickly scaled up. Students were:
- Coding, building, and experimenting from day one.
- Collaborating in teams to solve real-world problems.
- Participating in innovation-driven challenges.
Today, the DPS Indirapuram Robotics & AI Lab stands as a model of future-ready education, empowering students with creativity, critical thinking, and 21st-century skills.
